Essential Everywhere

Finally the van is ours.😀 Took a number of calls and pestering of Dave Benson but eventually she made it to us. The bank loan was remarkably easy this time around.  We applied early in case of delay which of course then meant there was none.  I had to keep in contact with the bank to let them know we still needed the loan which always felt wierd. On Wednesday 29th April I randomly received a text from our salesman saying it had arrived from Victoria.  We discussed delivery and only had to wait 2 days essentially for them to get it all ready!  He included some photos which was such a surprise. Of course they got the order wrong.  The cupboard colours were reversed to what we ordered.  But it didn't matter - we're so happy with how she looks!

It's quite incredible how much changes in a very short period of time.   Couple of weeks back we were waiting somewhat patiently for our van.  Now were back to compete uncertainty. Earlier this week the SA borders were closed and a whole range of bans imposed,  including non essential travel, because of covid19. So despite being a couple of weeks out from getting the van we don't know if it will be coming next month, and when it comes no clue it we can use it.  Now begins the sad task of canceling and honestly rebooking.

Taken a while to get our hand on it but here is the final order sheet.

So since November we have made progress.  About 10 days ago we finally moved our Avan onto its new Tasmanian family.  On Dec 29 we took it down to Tailem Bend to do the handover.  Was a bitter sweet thing but necessary as we cant afford two vans :-) Today is another big milestone - this afternoon were off to Dave Bensons to finalise our order.  We choose the final additions and colours and do all the personalisation we wish to.  The order needs to be final by Feb 10 so they can build it so were getting in as early as possible :-) We did lots of research to make sure our colour scheme makes sense and looks awesome.  Of course as soon as we sit down to decide all the ideas flew away.  In the end I think we chose well- stuck with the bright red on the back which was our very first choice!
